Rob Rath on Journalism and Extra History

The first talk in our Digital Humanities Initiative. Rob is best known for his weekly column Critical Intel, which studies the relationship between video games and reality. Critical Intel ran most recently on Vice Media’s video game website, Waypoint. Rob is now the primary writer for Extra History (https://www.patreon.com/ExtraCredits), a YouTube series that uses animated shorts to explore various topics in world history. The series includes over 200 videos that have been viewed by 18 million people worldwide.
