The Waggonner Center will hold a round-table event on December 7 at 4 pm about the 2016 presidential campaign and election. The event will be held in Wyly Auditorium, and will be free and open to the public.
This interdisciplinary round-table will feature scholars from Tech considering the course of the presidential campaign and the surprising election result as well as what developments they expect to see during Donald Trump’s presidency. Topics will include pre-election polling, historical precedent, Trump’s promises regarding domestic politics, foreign affairs under Trump, and everyday life in Trump’s America.
The round-table will include Dr. David Anderson (History), Dr. Jason Pigg (Political Science), Dr. Amanda Sanford (Political Science), Dr. Patrick Scott (Economics and Finance), and Dr. Daniel Sportiello (Philosophy).
